The Sapponwood Tree grows in South East Asia, India, and is one of the most treasured dyes in Japan. You simmer the sawdust until you get a shade of pink, red, or purple. The purple has an undertone of blue. This scarf is dyed in a saturated bath of Sapponwood dye.

The scarf is woven on a handloom in India by fair trade artisans. Two warps on the loom are woven at the same time, creating two layers joined by side seams. You can gently pull the layers apart to create more volume for styling.

 Care: Lightweight, travel friendly, and washable on a gentle cycle. You can hang it to dry and iron it.
