Hand Dyed Indigo Silk Doublecloth Scarf
This sheer silk organza scarf was dipped twice in my indigo vat to create a medium blue shade. There are differences in the hues of blue on the scarf depending on what angle I dipped it in the vat.
Doublecloth is made on the handloom by weaving two warps at once. The result is two layers of fine silk organza which can be separated at the side seams. When you open up the two layers, it results in more volume and sheerness. You can style it both ways, without opening the double layers, or just wearing it flat.
Care: The scarf is very easy to pack for travel. Hand wash or machine gentle cycle, hang to dry. May be ironed.
Dimensions: 68” long, 22” wide
100% Silk
