Light Green Chlorphyll Handwoven Silk Doublecloth Scarf

$45.00

This is a very delicate green—the photo shows some yellow in the silk scarf. I dyed this with a secondary chlorophyll bath, still giving a green hue but very gentle. Did you know that when you dye with leaves from just about any plant, the color is a yellow hue? This dye was made by extracting cholorphyll from leaves.

Doublecloth is made on the handloom by weaving two warps at once. The result is two layers of fine silk organza which can be separated at the side seams. When you open up the two layers, it results in more volume and sheerness. You can style it both ways, without opening the double layers, or just wearing it flat.

Care: The scarf is very easy to pack for travel. Hand wash or machine gentle cycle, hang to dry. May be ironed.

Dimensions: 68” long, 22” wide
