Indigo Blue Green Plant Dyed Silk Doublecloth Scarf
To create the swaths of green, I first dipped the scarf in a bath of a mix of Japanese Barberry and Pomegranate to create a yellow. Then the whole scarf was dipped in a bath of indigo to create the blues and green.
The scarf is woven on a handloom in India by fair trade artisans. Two warps on the loom are woven at the same time, creating two layers joined by side seams. You can gently pull the layers apart to create more volume for styling.
Care: Lightweight, travel friendly, and washable on a gentle cycle. You can hang it to dry and iron it.
Dimensions: 68” long, 22” wide.
100% Silk
