Fair Trade Hand Dyed Rose Silk Linen Scarf
This fair trade scarf is handwoven with silk in the warp and linen in the weft. The two different fibers shrink at different rates, giving a textured crinkle look. It has a hand tied fringe. I dyed this scarf with Premium Lac, a natural dye that comes from an insect from South East Asia. It is an ancient dye giving a range of colors from pink to deep magenta to reds. This Lac gave a soft pink mauve color. It’s because of the mix of fibers, silk and linen in the scarf. The colors softly flow from light to medium pink throughout the body of the fabric.
The scarf wrap is very easy to wear and can be styled in different ways. It can be worn as a wrap. Great for travel, resorts or cruises.
Care: Hand wash or delicate cycle, hang to dry. Iron if you desire a smoother look.
